This project was the result of a challenge to create a piece of furniture from a single 4' x 4' Medium Density Fiberboard sheet. I had seen zip ties used in furniture design in some corner of the internet previously, and wanted to test the unconventional joining method myself. The outcome was a geometric shelving unit. The zipties held the structure together pretty well initially, but over the last few years they have begun to sag under the weight of the MDF.
